TIPS Training
Training Intervention Procedures for Servers (TIPS) is a server training program licensed for the State of Michigan. Kathy-Sue Dunn of Atlas Sales, Inc. is a certified TIPS trainer. The focus of the training is learning not to Over Serve (until intoxication or beyond) and not to Under Serve (serve a minor). The law requires each server to show reasonable effort in keeping guests safe in their establishment. Licensees in Michigan are required to train a percentage of their employees in these procedures, and we are proud to provide this for our customers. We see this as a service to our customers and charge only $20 per person (which is a state required fee). The training is valid for 3 years.

The Bar & Restaurant Operations Seminar is a class geared toward increasing back-of-the-house profitability for a bar or restaurant. This class is open to all accounts and their employees but recommended to be attended by persons in management and ownership of the establishment. The class focuses on making more money on beer and food sales through various easy to implement strategies. The seminar takes place at the customer’s convenience in his or her place of business or at the Atlas Sales Inc. warehouse in Battle Creek.

The Server Profitability Seminar is a class intended for the bartenders and servers of bars and restaurants. The class focuses on teaching servers how to make more money per table by increasing beer and food sales. The seminar takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.
